Brush twice a day: 70% of our dental problems can be solved if we brush our teeth thoroughly. Brush twice a day to get rid of the accumulated plaque.
Use good products: To clean all the food particles, invest in a good toothbrush. There are a large variety of toothbrushes, choose the one that is appropriate for you and reaches all corners of your mouth. Also, choose a good fluoride based toothpaste.
Rinse well: If you munch tidbits regularly, rinse your mouth thoroughly after every snack. To keep tooth decay away, rinse with a good mouthwash.
No smoking & chewing tobacco: Smoking cigarettes & chewing tobacco is not only bad for our body and but also for our teeth. It causes tooth decay, tooth staining, gum problems and other oral pathological lesions/infections which can be life threatening. So, avoid smoking and chewing tobacco. Save your teeth!
Change your toothbrush: If you have been using your toothbrush for a year now, replace it with a new one immediately. An old toothbrush causes more harm than it does good. The minute you notice the bristles of your toothbrush getting frayed, it’s time to get a new one.
Eat a healthy diet: For strong teeth, only good dental habits are not enough. Eating right and eating healthy food is essential. Eating a well balanced diet makes your gums & teeth stronger and healthier.
Don’t forget to floss: Flossing helps to maintain hygiene and remove plaque completely. Make sure to floss your teeth at least twice a week everyday.
Visit the dentist: Have your teeth cleaned regularly; visit the dentist every six months. Regular dental check-ups are necessary for good dental health and prevention of tooth decay.
Take care of your smile; keep your teeth happy and strong! Follow these 8 tips and be dental wise.
